A cool zebra print guitar pick necklace for men, women & teens in classy black & white featuring handcrafted leather!

This unique guitar pick necklace features a medium gauge zebra print guitar pick & a black leather backing. The guitar pick is mounted on veg-tanned cowhide that was hand cut, dyed jet black, sealed with atom wax & burnished to a soft sheen. The leather disc edge was rounded for a smooth, classy finish. The black ball chain is 24" in length. If a shorter length is preferred, it's very easy to shorten with a wire cutter for a custom fit.

Unique Royal Flush Poker Necklace

A unique royal flush poker necklace that consists of a red clay poker chip, handcrafted black leather backing and black ball chain. The clay poker chip features a large spade, a royal flush (ten, jack, queen, king & ace of spades), background poker chips and a $5.00 denomination. The black bail has a 6mm hole that’s large enough to accommodate a wide variety of necklace chains or cords. The black ball chain is 30” long to slip over the head without having to undo the clasp. If a shorter chain is preferred, the ball chain can easily be cut with a wire cutter to the desired length for a custom fit.

Funky Purple Leather & Brass Ring

This is a funky handcrafted purple leather ring with an adjustable brass ring base that has a rich antique copper finish. The round cowhide leather disc was hand cut, stained purple, sealed on top for protection & buffed to nice sheen. I used a staining process that allowed some of the natural tones of the leather to peek through around the top edge. The ring face measures 1 inch in diameter (or 2.5cm). The purple leather disc and antique copper finish make a stunning combination.

This is a one of a kind handcrafted veg-tanned cowhide leather & paua brooch. The New Zealand paua shell cabochon measures 40mm x 30mm & has lovely shades of yellow, brown, gold & green with exquisite lines & details. Traditionally, paua has been used to stimulate creativity imagination.

The cowhide leather has been hand tooled for a textured frame, stained, sealed & polished to a nice sheen. I wanted the textured markings on the leather to imitate the rippled sands of the sea. I stained this piece a medium antique brown & added a frosty gold highlight stain to the outer edge.

This brooch has a 1.25" gold plated pinback, is versatile & can be worn at any angle. This accessory will come signed on the back.

Leather & Porcelain Cat Cameo Brooch

For all you kitty lovers out there . . . . . . .

This is a 3Fine Feline® handcrafted leather & porcelain cameo brooch. This beautiful porcelain cat cameo features a stunning dark brown & caramel colored kitty with mesmerizing aqua / minty eyes posing among some lovely blue flowers that can be seen in the background. My best guess is that he’s busy lurking in someone’s garden. The porcelain cat cameo measures 40mm x 30mm.

The veg tanned cowhide leather has been hand tooled for a stony textured frame, dyed, sealed & polished to a nice sheen. I dyed this piece a dark cocoa brown that complements the kitty’s coloring & eyes beautifully. The cat’s piercing eyes really POP with the dark leather background. In addition, I left the outer ridge of the leather a slightly lighter brown for an antique look which helps to accentuate the cat’s caramel highlights. The leather oval measures 6 cm wide by 4.5 cm tall & is 3mm thick.

This brooch has a 1” locking pinback. This accessory will come signed on the back.

This is a scalloped cowhide leather brooch with a cast metal antique brass sun button as the focal piece. This is the perfect accessory for those who need a little sunshine to brighten up their day. The domed brass sun has embossed lines & details with beautiful flowing rays going forth & is 2cm in diameter.

The leather has been dyed a warm yellow, coated for protection & polished to a nice sheen. The back of the brooch has a 1” locking pinback. The leather is 4cm in diameter & 3mm thick. Handcrafted Leather: Hebrew TET Pendant

I've absolutely fallen in love with leather as a medium. The possibilities are endless. I enjoy using leather in combination with other media such as paua shell, abalone, beads, gemstones & dichroic glass. The leather is finished & treated on the front, sides & back of all of my pendants.

My plan is to start producing more of these Hebrew letter pendants in the near future. Hebrew is such a rich & interesting language that's close to my heart for many reasons. The year we spent living in Jerusalem, Israel changed my life forever. The textured background of this pendant was made with Jerusalem stone in mind. My Hebrew letter pendants & necklaces are a celebration of the beauty, mystery & wisdom found in the Bible & the Hebrew alphabet.

The TET is the 9th letter of the Hebrew alphabet with a numerical value of nine.

Violet Swarovski Pendant Necklace

This is a hand stitched pendant using a technique called embellished right angle weave. It's a combination of Swarovski Violet AB bicone crystals, complementary Czech seed beads & sterling silver. There's a beautiful artisan domed enameled copper teardrop that dangles from the bottom & is enameled on both sides (by C-Koop). The neckwear is an 18" purple satin necklace cord with a sterling silver clasp. The pendant measures 12.5cm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the teardrop & is 3cm at it's widest point. Since Autumn is almost here I wanted to create a piece in celebration & anticipation of this beautiful & golden time of year.

This pendant focal is a gorgeous amber synthetic cabochon that has lovely "floating" particles inside that give it depth & visual interest. I decided to do a layered look with lots of texture incorporating gold colored Czech size 11/0 seed beads, 4mm round glass beads & a raw edge finished with shiny Japanese size 6/0 seed beads with autumnal shades of cranberry & plum. Mojo

I'm proud to introduce Mojo. . .the newest member of our family. She's a year old female Australian Cattle Dog (a.k.a. Blue Heeler) that we discovered at an animal shelter site on the internet. We adopted her from a foster home near Detroit, MI only 3.5 weeks ago. She's sweet, lovable, smart & a real "looker". It's amazing how many compliments she receives on her walks regarding her beauty & sweetness. She's just as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside.

Mojo is also deaf which has been a wonderful learning experience for us. We're in the process of training her & will be taking her to obedience classes starting next month. She gets along splendidly with other dogs, loves people & has a strong desire to meet our cats up close & personal. However, we're taking the introduction slowly since she's a bit on the exuberant side around her feline sisters (Chica & Shy). The kitties are very curious about her & I know that in time they'll become great friends.

When we adopted her she was named Matilda by her foster parents. However, once we got to know her, we renamed her Mojo because we thought the name really suited her due to her magic charisma & the fact that she came from Detroit (Motown). She's definitely a charmer & always has her 'Mojo workin' overtime. We look forward to spending many happy years with her. She's delightful!

Howlite Beaded Cabochon

My newest creation.

This beaded cabochon is a combination of dyed howlite in a spectacular shade of blue, handstitched 11/0 gold colored Czech seed beads (for the bezel), multi colored 6/0 Japanese seed beads & 4mm faceted fire polished beads (for the raw edge). The backside is finished with Ultrasuede®. This piece can easily be made into a pendant or brooch.

Turquoise Beaded Cabochon

My first beaded cabochon design. I'm very fond of cabochons (stone, glass or otherwise) & really look forward to producing more of these in the upcoming weeks & months.

The pendant is a beautiful turquoise cabochon that's decorated with handstitched Japanese 11/0 multi colored seed beads of blue, purple, bronze & green & framed with a frosty jade scalloped raw edge. The necklace cord in the photo is a heavy duty nylon cord that goes over the head & adjusts from approximately 13" to 25". I can easily convert the pendant to accommodate other chains, wires or necklace cords which makes it very versatile & a lot of fun. The back of the pendant is finished with Ultrasuede®.

Critters in My Garden

Summer is here and gardening season is well under way. It's such a treat for me to tend the plants & flowers in my garden. It always makes the mornings extra special when I'm greeted by gorgeous critters that come to rest, play & visit me there.

This particular butterfly rested on one of my hanging baskets for more than 20 minutes. It seemed so content just to 'hang out' with me while I watered my plants. It appeared totally fearless & at ease with it's surroundings. The extended 'layover' in my garden allowed me the opportunity to get my camera and take a few good shots.

So delicate & beautiful.

I just completed an interview with Instablogs News Network (India). Many thanks to the Editor, Pooja, for being so wonderful & easy to work with. It was a real pleasure doing the interview and I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity.

This pendant is brand new and one of the pieces that I chose to highlight in the interview. I named it my 'Pooja Pendant' in honor of her & the occasion. It's comprised of a black fused glass cabochon that's hand wrapped with heavy gauge tinned copper wire & topped off with a dyed 20mm round purple New Zealand paua cabochon. Beautiful swirling lines & details. A colorful combination of black, purple, pink, blue & silver.

Legacy Cuff

I designed this piece back in 2005 and still love it as much today as when I first created it. So, I thought I'd blog it.

This cuff was hand stitched using a technique called embellished right angle weave. It's a combination of 5 rows of Swarovski Black Diamond 2XAB 6mm bicone crystals & Czech 11/0 seed beads. The clasp is a 14kt gold filled sliding tube clasp. The color combination reminds me of a beloved heirloom. Hence, the name Legacy.

Copper & Peridot AB Ring (777)

SIZE: 7 / Unisex (wide band)

This ring is hand wrapped with heavy gauge copper wire that is a beautiful burnt sienna decorated with two Swarovski Peridot AB crystals. The band is 7mm wide & the crystals are 7mm in diameter. The ring is slightly tapered with the smaller end measuring at a size seven. The person who ends up buying this ring should probably wear it to Las Vegas & try their luck since it's a 7-7-7 (size, band width & crystal diameter). You never know, you might hit the jackpot! Unique, bright & colorful.

This necklace is comprised of yellow turquoise (a.k.a. Chinese turquoise) that's hand wrapped with tinned copper & topped off with a beautiful 10mm round pink paua shell cabochon. The pendant is 5.5mm in length & 3.5mm @ it's widest point. The 18" necklace cord is made of black leather with a lobster claw clasp. A bright & refreshing accessory for summer. Hemalyke is a synthetic hematite that is “mirror like” & very uniform in it’s finish. The pendant is 4.5cm wide & 6.5cm tall (including the bail). The reverse side of the pendant is solid lavender. Copper & Capri Blue Ring

This is a hand wrapped ring comprised of heavy gauge copper wire that's decorated with two beautiful Swarovski Capri Blue crystals. The band is 6mm wide & the crystals are 7mm in diameter. The copper will oxidize over time & develop a beautiful antiqued patina. If the bright copper color is desired (rather than antiqued) one can easily use a jeweler’s polishing cloth to maintain the bright shiny luster. This would make a really fun piece for summer & would look smashing with a golden tan.

A beautiful New Zealand paua cabochon in a gold plated brass setting. Coated & dyed. The setting is cast in brass & heavily plated with roped detailing around the edges. Lovely shades of green, gold, orange, bronze & black with gorgeous lines & plenty of texture. The cabochon is vibrant with iridescent swirling rainbow colors. The top is epoxy coated to protect against breakage, provide stability and enhance iridescence. The pendant is suspended from a sturdy 16” gold plated chain with a lobster claw clasp.

Periwinkle Fused Glass & Copper Necklace

A gorgeous periwinkle blue fused glass cabochon hand wrapped in heavy gauge copper wire & suspended from a 20” (51cm) chain with an antiqued copper finish. The clasp is a copper lobster claw. Splashes of red, yellow & medium blue can be found in the cabochon. The glass almost looks like it’s floating within the copper wire. The pendant is 4.5cm wide & 6cm long (including the bail). Freshwater Pearl Cuff

Handstitched using a bead weaving technique called embellished right angle weave. This bracelet cuff consists of 3 rows of freshwater 6mm rice pearls (84 total) in a creamy white woven with complementary 11/0 Japanese seed beads. The clasp is a sterling silver sliding tube clasp. This is the perfect accessory for weddings, formal parties, holidays, prom or "just because." It would look fabulous with a business suit. It's sophisticated, beautiful, unique & comfortable to wear.

Swarovski Crystal AB crystals on silver plated brass rolled bezels (1cm in diameter). The posts are hypoallergenic. Bright, comfortable, & unisex. They can be dressed up or down & make fabulous everyday earrings. I make them in several different colors & wear them all the time. The perfect earrings for the gal on the go who wants a little glitz in her day but nothing that gets in the way. Guys that prefer wearing larger sized studs love these as well. I make these earrings in both silver & gold plate. They also make excellent gifts, shower favors & matching accessories for bridal parties. I photographed this pair on natural multi-colored stone in order to show how they reflect the light & different colors around them. Beautiful sparkling accessories that are incredibly versatile.

This pendant is handstitched using embellished right angle weave combining Swarovski Fire Opal AB 6mm bicone crystals & complementary Japanese 11/0 seed beads. The Fire Opals are a brilliant orange with hints of red & yellow. The seed bead that I used is primarily gold & copper colored with hints of green & purple. The findings have an antique copper finish. A gorgeous copper butterfly with spread wings & a beautiful patina dangles from the bottom. A truly unique piece that will capture your heart.

Floating Lotus Necklace

Thought I'd post something pink & flowery in celebration.

This pendant is handstitched using a technique called embellished right angle weave consisting of Swarovski 6mm Rose AB crystals & complementary Japanese 11/0 seed beads. The end bars & lotus charm have raised detailing & an antique finish. The lotus detailing is on both sides of the charm. The width of the pendant is 1.5cm & the length is 7cm (measured from the top of the bail). Plenty of shine, texture & sparkle.

Green Mamba Necklace

Due to the reptilian feel of this piece, I named it Green Mamba. The domed enameled copper pendant has gorgeous shades of medium & dark copper, olive, lime green & a hint of yellow. It is 4cm in diameter. The reverse side is also enameled & is completely unique from the design on the front. The 18” chain has an antique finish with a copper lobster claw clasp. Sophisticated, exotic & chic.
